ACTAR-35 [RETROFIT]

The ACTAR-35 is a rebuild lens dedicated to the Cambo Actus in combination with a dslr or mirror less camera, mounted to the Actus. This lens is permanently attached to an Actus lens panel and has a focal length of 35mm. This makes it an ideal companion for landscape and architectural photographers.

The ACTAR-35 is a lens based on the Contax Distagon 35 for the 645 system. As the image circle is based on the 4,5x6 format , there is an optically allowed horizontal shift possible of 10mm each side when using a full frame (24x36) sensor, when using a 33x44 sensor of the 50mp MF camera bodies, the shift possibilities limit to 5mm.

The aperture range is from f/3,5 to f/32. Please note that the aperture is manual and there are no electronical connections available nor needed.

Note: This item is not available from stock. Cambo offers the service to rebuild an existing Contax 645 Distagon 35mm into an ACTAR-35. The customer has to provide the Contax lens.

The original lens will be modified as follows:

the focussing movement is removed, focussing is done with the Actus camera's rear standard
the electronic aperture is replaced with a manual aperture
the lens is fixed mounted to a Cambo Actus lens plate
the optical design is not changed
the lens is rebuild in the quality as-is, in other words: no improvements are possible on the optical performance. The customer is responsible for checking the lens quality before submitting.
